At Vic Feral Eradication (VFE), our commitment to supporting the community, ensuring animal welfare, and contributing to long-term environmental outcomes is at the heart of our mission. We collaborate closely with landholders, councils, government agencies, industry organizations, and community groups to implement practical, science-based vertebrate pest management and emergency animal welfare strategies across Victoria and Australia.
VFE is proud to support and engage with various organizations and industry networks, including:
- Victorian Rabbit Action Network (VRAN)
- Rabbit Free Australia
- The Centre for Invasive Species Solutions
- Sporting Shooters’ Association of Australia (SSAA)
- Vertebrate Pest Managers Association Australia (VPMAA)
These vital industry connections promote best-practice humane control methods and integrated pest management strategies, focusing on long-term environmental protection, biodiversity outcomes, responsible firearm usage, and effective pest management practices.
During emergencies such as bushfires, floods, storm events, and transport incidents, wildlife and livestock can be left injured, trapped, displaced, or suffering, highlighting the critical need for effective emergency animal welfare measures. Where we are safely and legally able to assist, VFE is committed to supporting these vital emergency animal welfare outcomes.
We proudly offer assistance at no cost to government agencies, emergency services, wildlife organisations, and community groups, where practical and operationally possible. Our support may include:
- Humane euthanasia of severely injured wildlife or livestock using humane control methods
- Assistance during livestock or animal transport incidents
- Support during bushfire and flood response operations
- Animal welfare assistance in difficult-access environments
- Coordination with emergency services and authorised agencies
- Use of thermal equipment and field-based capabilities to assist in locating animals
As experienced field operators working in challenging and often remote environments, we recognize the importance of acting professionally, ethically, and compassionately during emergency situations. Our efforts are aligned with relevant legislation, safety requirements, and animal welfare obligations, ensuring that our vertebrate pest management strategies are both humane and effective.
Vic Feral Eradication remains committed to delivering targeted, humane control methods that not only protect agriculture and infrastructure but also support native wildlife, community safety, and environmental sustainability through effective vertebrate pest management. Our solutions prioritize emergency animal welfare, ensuring that all efforts are compliant and considerate.
